ABOUT
THE RACE: It is
generally known that the French Bulldog of today is a descendant of the
Toy Bulldogs of the 1850s. By 1890, a strain had emerged in France which
later becam known as the French Bulldog. As all Dogge the breed probably
descend from the Molosses in the Roman Empire, and is a relative to the
English Bulldog.
In the beginning the
Bulldog was very popular among porters, butchers and drivers on the
Parisian Market the "Halls". Later the Bulldog has been capable to
inspire "the better families" and the artistich milieu, with its quit
special looks and characteristic manner.
QUALITIES FOR THE RACE:
The Frenchie, as he is known, is active, intelligent, sweet-tempered and
full of fun. His body should be sturdy and compact. An essential feature
is his erect ear carriage and his dark round eyes. His tail is naturally
short and undocked, and his coat must be short and fine. He is unusual
devoted to his owner and his family.
The weight is between 10
or 14 kilo.
